Colorado Drug Rehab Programs

There are a several Colorado drug rehabilitation programs which provide drug rehabilitation services for adults and adolescents. One would think it can’t possibly be that difficult to find the best drug rehab program, but you may be surprised. There seem to be as many drug rehab treatment philosophies as there are drug rehabs and alcohol rehabs. For example, some Colorado drug rehabs may not have their own drug detox program and have to refer out for this addiction treatment service. It is critical to discuss this aspect of a drug rehab program with intake staff, as it can make a substantial difference in the effectiveness of a person’s addiction treatment. Secondly, drug rehabs and alcohol rehabs in Colorado might specialize in treating specific populations such as drug rehabs that specialize in dual diagnosis treatment or a Colorado drug rehab program focused on providing treatment for the LGBT community.

It can be a challenging experience to try and decide which Colorado drug rehabilitation or alcohol rehabilitation program is best for you. Recovery Connection’s staff is experienced in matching your drug rehab needs with a drug rehab program capable of meeting them. Not every Colorado drug rehab program is right for you. Colorado Alcohol Rehab Programs

Alcoholism, alcohol dependency and alcohol addiction all fall into the same category. Alcohol is physically addicting and can have devastating effects on a person’s family, employment, health, finances and emotional well being. Due to the physical addiction associated with alcoholism, we urge you to enter an alcohol detox program before discontinuing your use of alcohol to minimize any alcohol withdrawal symptoms. At a minimum, please consult with a physician working in an alcohol detox for guidance in this matter.
Colorado alcohol rehab programs differ in the actual alcohol rehab services they provide and the patients the alcohol rehab program treats. There are federally funded alcohol rehab programs in Colorado for those people that are financially challenged, alcohol rehabilitation programs in Colorado for adults and adolescents and Colorado alcohol rehabs for those persons with private insurance and an ability to pay for a private alcohol rehabilitation program.

For someone not involved in the alcoholism treatment arena, knowing how to differentiate between Colorado alcohol rehabs can be quite difficult. It is important to find out whether the alcohol rehabilitation program you are looking at has its own alcohol detox program, whether the Colorado alcohol rehabilitation program has a comprehensive family program and which specific addiction treatment needs the alcohol rehab program can meet. An example would be whether the alcohol rehab has a comprehensive dual diagnosis treatment component, provides eating disorder treatment or whether the Colorado alcohol rehab is gay friendly for the LGBT population.

Recovery Connection has a referral staff that has been trained to evaluate your alcohol rehabilitation needs and match them with the alcoholism treatment services provided at the Colorado alcohol rehab program. To locate safe and effective alcohol rehab services in Colorado or in any other state, call 1-800-993-3869.

Colorado Drug Rehabs for the Gay Community

While a person who is gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender (GLBT) can receive addiction treatment or alcohol rehabilitation treatment in any Colorado alcohol rehab program or Colorado drug rehab program, not all drug rehabs or alcohol rehabs in Colorado are designed to meet the needs of the LGBT community. More to the point, there are not many Colorado drug rehabs or alcohol rehabs in Colorado that have addiction treatment staff trained in how to deal with issues such as coming out, internalized homophobia or homophobia.

An effective gay drug rehab in Colorado, gay alcohol rehab in Colorado or gay friendly drug rehabilitation in Colorado should have as a minimum; addiction treatment groups specific to the LGBT population, an addiction treatment staff trained in the issues surrounding the gay population and addiction treatment staff that has dealt with their own homophobic issues. It is important that any Colorado drug rehab or Colorado alcohol treatment program that claims to treat the LGBT community provide them with a safe setting in which to recover.
To locate a gay friendly drug rehab or gay friendly alcohol rehabilitation program you can call 1-800-993-3869 and our referral coordinators can locate an addiction treatment program to meet your specific addiction treatment needs.

Mexican poly-drug trafficking organizations control most of the methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, and heroin distribution in Colorado. The majority of club drug distribution is conducted by independent traffickers and loosely-knit organizations with various sources of supply, both overseas and within the United States. Asian groups, some with ties to Canada, have been increasingly active in the distribution of club drugs and marijuana. Dealers with ties to larger criminal organizations in Texas, California, Oregon,Nevada and Mexico are involved in all types of drug distribution throughout the state.

Cocaine Addiction and Cocaine Addiction Treatment:

Enforcement activities reflect a steady supply of cocaine coming into and through Colorado. Cocaine trafficking organizations with sources of supply in Mexico, Florida, New York or along the Southwest Border often deal in multi-kilogram amounts. Crack is available in the larger metropolitan areas of Colorado, generally in street level amounts. Cocaine is trafficked by Mexican poly-drug organizations typically capable of distributing other drugs as well. Get cocaine addiction treatment NOW!

Various law enforcement and treatment indicators suggest that heroin availability and use may be on the rise in Colorado. Heroin is trafficked by Mexican poly-drug organizations typically capable of distributing both heroin and cocaine. A supply of heroin is also found to be transported from New York, New Jersey and Florida. Get heroin addiction treatment NOW!

Methamphetamine Addiction and Crystal Meth Addiction Treatment:

Most of the methamphetamine available in Colorado originates in Mexico. In recent years, the potency of methamphetamine produced in Mexico has risen to levels comparable to that made in smaller, local clandestine laboratories. While clandestine laboratories remain problematic to law enforcement in Colorado, the number of such laboratories has diminished dramatically. This is possibly due to the increasing supply of Mexican, Oregon, Nevada-produced methamphetamine. Despite a lower number of clandestine laboratories, these operations still represent a threat to the public safety and the environment. Get methamphetamine addiction treatment NOW!

Ecstasy Addiction and Ecstasy Addiction Treatment:

The category of substances known as “club drugs” is most often associated with nightclubs and private parties. DEA investigations indicate that violence, pornography, and prostitution often play key roles in club drug trafficking and abuse. MDMA generally is distributed by independent traffickers or loosely-knit organizations with both domestic and foreign sources of supply. Asian gangs play a significant role in club drug distribution. LSD, Ketamine, and gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB) are also distributed and used in the nightclub scene. Get ecstasy addiction treatment NOW!

Marijuana Addiction and Marijuana Addiction Treatment:

Marijuana is available throughout Colorado and is the most widely abused drug in the state. The most abundant supply of marijuana is Mexican-grown and is brought into and through Colorado by poly-drug trafficking organizations. The highly potent form of marijuana known as “BC Bud” is significantly more expensive, and is smuggled from British Columbia, California, Oregon and Nevada. Indoor marijuana grow operations are regularly found by law enforcement and appear to be increasing in number. These operations range from very simple to extremely complex. Some residences have been converted entirely to grow houses. Grow operations are conducted by independent traffickers, loosely organized groups, and Asian gangs. Generally, these groups also have the ability to distribute marijuana from Canada and the Pacific Northwest as well. Colorado’s Amendment 20, which took effect June 1, 2001, allows for the use and possession of small amounts of marijuana for sick and dying patients. It provides protection against prosecution under state law, which is where the majority of marijuana small-use and possession cases occur. A 2005 vote in the City and County of Denver legalized ounce or smaller amounts of marijuana for personal recreational use. The proponents of this measure introduced a similar marijuana measure proposing changes in state law for Colorado voters to decide in 2006. Amendment 44 failed in the 2006 vote. Marijuana is not a physically addicting drug and the person does not usually require an inpatient drug detox program. Get marijuana addiction treatment NOW!
