For the individual who is suffering from drug addiction it is not uncommon for them to have lots of secrets. Some secrets may include child abuse or sexual trauma. If a suffering addict is not willing to talk about their “secrets” then long term abstinence from drugs and alcohol is going to be nearly impossible to achieve.

For addicts in recovery it is not uncommon for a relapse to start in a doctors office. If you are in recovery it is important to be upfront with any treating physician. The sooner that you let a doctor know that you are in recovery from addiction the better off you will be. When it comes to relapse prevention it is best to avoid anything that might tempt abuse. It doesn’t get much more tempting then getting a prescription from a doctor.
A gorilla blows the opportunity of a lifetime when his job interview makes him take a drug test. Worth it just for the awkward bathroom scene that takes place.

Addictions produce negative consequences as Tiger Woods is receiving and yet he or she can’t stop the behaviors. The odd part of the Tiger Woods story and his addictions is until November no one knew he had a problem. That seems highly unlikely people in addiction give out warning signs and signals long before he or she is caught in the act.
