Posted by: Sobriety Diva In: Drug Addiction

Happy St. Patrick’s Day. Aside from looking around for that one green shirt or tie, that you wear every year as so not to be pinched, for many St. Patrick’s day is a strong exercise in relapse prevention.

Here are a few tips to have a Happy and Sober St. Patrick’s Day:

1. Go to a Parade. Many cities across the country have St. Patrick’s Day parades. You can visit sites’ like 2010 Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will give you information on parades in NY, NJ and many other states. So take out your favorite foldable chair and enjoy the music, and floats.

2. The Color of the Day is Green. Find the most flamboyant green article of clothing you can find, and wear it with pride. Throw on a “Kiss me I’m Irish” button and hit the streets.

3. Put a Little Green in Your Glass. Try St. Patrick’s Day Party Punch. The ingredients are simple and below:

4 liters lemon-lime carbonated soda
2 pints lime sherbet
6 cups crushed ice

In large punch bowl, pour in soda.  Add sherbet.  Add crushed ice.

Yum!
