Ex-teen actor Corey Haim, known best for his roles in 1980s films “License To Drive” and “The Lost Boys.” has died, Los Angeles police confirmed Wednesday.
Paired with fellow actors Corey Feldman starred in several popular films together, and became one of the hottest actor teams in Hollywood.
Haim’s drug abuse took over his life and subsequently led to the ruin of his career.
Haim and Feldman made comebacks in 2006 with the reality series “The Two Coreys” with Corey Feldman. Though the show was marked a success, with two seasons, Feldman said he refused to do a third season because of Haim’s continued drug use.
Officials said his death appears to have been accidental. According to police sources, he died of an apparent overdose.
Haim serves as another shocking example, that regardless of your talent and your charisma, left untreated addiction can cause great harm to anyone. But for those who make the first step, drug addiction treatment programs can effectively treat any addiction.
