“Cries of Help” Help me to overcome my addiction!

Posted by: brenda@recoveryconnection.org In: Addiction Treatment| Alcoholism| Christian Program| Drug Addiction

I asked God to please help me to overcome my addiction.  I was so tired of drinking to cover up my emotions. I needed help!  A Christian treatment center was the only way to freedom.  To admit to God that I was an alcoholic was the first step.  I was miserable and living a lie.  I thought that my drinking was only a “habit” that I could kick the habit anytime I wanted.  I was wrong, it took praying to God to show me what to do.  Now with my prayers answered I am living a full and wonderful life.  I go to AA meetings regularly and serve God everyday.  In working the 12 steps every single day of my life and following the suggestions of The Good Book and The Big Book I have a new life.  In a Christian treatment center we can be guided along the way. As children of God, we are blessed to know that God does hear our prayers.  Alcohol and drug addiction can be overcome with the right guidance through treatment and prayer.  A Christian treatment program that offers prayer time, bible study, pastoral counseling and church along with the 12 steps thru Christ was the answer to my prayer.  God hears and answers our cries for help. We only need to listen.
