Does Fear And Eating Disorders Live Together?

Posted by: joanna@recoveryconnection.org In: Addiction Treatment| Christian Program| Dual Diagnosis| Lakeview Health Systems| Women's Treatment Programs

The question asked is “Does Fear and Eating Disorders Live Together?” The answer is a resounding yes! Fear keeps people stuck and locked into continuing the behavior of an eating disorder. Fear is a powerful negative emotion, a learned habitual behavior. To change consciously the words he or she says to themselves unconsciously. The only way an individual can stop this is to stop it!
In order to recover from negative thoughts and behaviors requires the individual become conscious of how he or she thinks. In any process of recovery the first step is always awareness. Too many people live in fear of being who they are. Unfortunately, many people have no idea who they are; they have used the eating disorder as a means to an end.
I encourage anyone reading this article who wants to get better to start today this very minute, become conscious of whom he or she is. “Perfect and whole complete children of GOD just as you are!” Now get to work, time to chance the course of events and get help. Wouldn’t he or she rather tell people how they overcame the eating disorder instead of keep living life stuck in an eating disorder?
I am here to say enough is enough you have the right to a good, productive, wholesome life anything less than this is of no value and serves no one. If you are ready to get help then reach out ask for the help you need I guarantee people are there to help you.
