Addiction Recovery

Posted by: Dan In: Detox & Withdrawal| Lakeview Health Systems

Addiction recovery is a process that takes place over a period of time and across the map of your mind and body. Becoming addicted didn’t happen overnight and recovery won’t either. The emotions an addict feels about their addiction are a result of their experiences, memories and interpretations. The best way to initiate a lasting recovery is at the hands of a trained professional in a drug rehab.
When Addiction Recovery begins with the care provided by a therapist in a safe secure setting, the chances at a lasting recovery are greatly enhanced. Many treatment programs overlook the therapeutic value of one on one sessions and rely on group therapy for the bulk of the process.
Addiction can be treated and there are many good facilities all over the world. Make sure the drug rehab you chose has a good drug detox, treats the whole person and offers plenty of individual attention.

Drug detoxification really helps a person who is engage in addiction. It provides recovery but sometimes, there are some relapses after a short period of time. It is the natural effect of a certain person that comes from addiction.

It is for me paramount that I get clean@sober. Current NHS policies are driving peop;e to commit crime; just to get treatment and inpatient help. The only reason there are waiting lists for subatex maintenence is that the archaic medical model needs to ‘tick boxes and report to a statsitical guru’ whils the young at risk are dying on the strees of the UK.
Looking at European law may help the NHS managers realise that they are pursuing an antiquated system of care that unless you speak up may see 100′ dying from overdose of street drugs. 12 step programmes are supporting more people in addiction than all the services in the UK put together.
