Night Eating Syndrome and Sleeping Problems

Posted by: Dan In: Women's Treatment Programs

Night eating syndrome and sleeping problems often negatively impact one another. Any malfunction with the Hypothalamus will interfere with appetite control and sleep cycles. When this is the situation any attempts to lose weight will be unsuccessful and will add to the stress already in place by someone suffering with an eating disorder.

Anyone can experience problems with sleep patterns and occasionally an unhealthy eating behavior; it’s when they begin to interfere with normal daily function that there is cause for concern. At this point it is important to identify what is at the root of the emotional distress. If you or someone you know are suffering with these conditions please do yourself a favor and contact The Women’s Center for Healthy Living treatment program. We can help.
