Interesting list but one correction..

It’s a common misunderstanding that The Needle and the Damage Done was inspired by Danny Whitten’s death. It may have been written about his addiction but it was written long before he died. ‘Harvest’ was released in Feb ‘72 and Whitten died in Nov ‘72. Needle was actually written in ‘70/71 since it appears on ‘Live at Massey Hall’ (Jan ‘71).

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds has nothing to do with LSD other than the coincidental backronym. It is actually about a picture Lennon’s son drew.

I can’t believe that Bob Dylan’s ‘Rainy Day Women’ or the Beatles’ Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds weren’t included.
