Taking an Eating Disorder Quiz

Posted by: Dan In: Eating Disorders

Taking an Eating disorder quiz could save your life. Eating Disorders are an epidemic effecting over 10 million Americans and the majority of those affected are children. The pressure to be accepted for teens today is so strong that kids will go to any extent to be a part of the “in crowd” When a child has an issue with their physical appearance and it seems to be interfering with their acceptance or popularity they become vulnerable to behaviors that could lead to an eating disorder, including Anorexia and Bulimia. What starts out as a curious experiment in the privacy of the child’s room can lead to serious mental health issues. The behaviors are kept secrete from all but the closest friends usually only those that are participating in like behaviors.
Taking an Eating Disorder Quiz in the privacy of the sufferers own room on a personal computer may be less threatening than talking about their problem to a friend or a family member. An Eating Disorder Quiz cannot make a diagnoses but it can help a person determine if they should seek professional help. In the case of a teenager this might be the incentive they need to ask an adult for help.
Weather you are an adult that has been suffering with an eating disorder for years or a teenager you is just not sure, an on line screening can be a painless non-evasive means of determining if you need eating disorder treatment When answering questions in a quiz be honest and check the answer that best fits your personal experience. If the results indicate you need further help talk to a professional as soon as possible.
