At the ripe old age of 15 I started using opiates and it was long after that I had developed an opiate addiction. For some reason my opiate addiction didn’t seem that bad. All the people I hung with were really strung out and stealing to support their opiate addiction. As for me, I had money in the bank to support my addiction to opiates. It took about two years of a pretty good opiate addiction before I knew I was in trouble.

Treatment for Opiate Addiction

It wasn’t long after that I began thinking about opiate addiction treatment. Each time I stopped taking opiates I got so sick I was scared to go into opiate addiciton treatment. The staff at the opiate addiction treatment program told me that had a great opiate detox program and that the doctor in the opiate detox program was great. I was still scared but decided to go in opiate addiction treatment.

I got so sick the first day in opiate detox but the next day the doctor gave me medication and I felt better. After five weeks, my opiate addiction was much better and I really appreciated the treatment for my opiate addiction.
