Drug Abuse Treatment- Thank God

Posted by: dscott In: Drug Addiction

I never thought drug abuse was that bad. I kind of thougth drug abuse was like drug use just taking more than usual. I didn’t say I was smart, it is just what I thought about drug abuse. It wasn’t long although I wasn’t yet addicted to drugs my drug abuse was to the point that I definietelyneeded some help. drug abuse treatment was suggested, but drug abuse treatment was the last thing on my mind. I still wanted to try and control it

Drug Abuse Treatment Needed Now

In trying to control my drug abuse I got a DUI and spent a night in jail. My family suggested drug abuse treatment again. I said no and they said if I didn’t get drug abuse treatment I couldn’t return home. I said I would let them know in a few days just get me out of jail. Before I could give them an answer on drug abuse treatment I was arrested again for disorderly conduct. This time I went directly to drug abuse treatment and acknowledged there was some kind of drug abuse problem. I just never realized I needed treatment.

The best thing I ever did was go to drug abuse treatment. They helped me see how I was one step away from needing drug addiction treatment. their was little difference in my eyes. All I can say is thank god I made it to drug abuse treatment before I caused real damage. I do pretty much everyone does to maintain my recovery as I don’t want to go to treatment again or hurt anyone else.
