This Drug Detox Made the Difference

Posted by: jhutt In: Drug Addiction

Drug detox was reccomended, but I didn’t listen. I tried to stop using Oxycontin on my own and got so sick I can’t begin to describe it. I was shaking and cramping so much, I thought I was going to die. Truthfully, I just wanted to avoid going into a drug detox program, but I couldn’t take this anymore.

I went on the internet and called a detox helpline. The detox helpline directed me to a drug detox in Jacksonville, Florida. I called the drug detox and after taking all of my information, off I went. It was fifteen minutes before the staff at the detox program had me settled and meeting with the physician. He did a physical and had me on meds right away. I felt so much better right away. this drug detox was the best because I felt so safe and cared for. I was in the detox program for 7 days and then referred to their drug rehab.

If I had to do it all over again I would have ran to the drug detox program. I would encourage everyone to call the detox helpline to find the drug detox that is best for them. the detox helpline I called was 1-800-99-DETOX. The staff took the time to match my drug detox needs with the drug detox services that were provided. This made the best sense to me and was something no one else did.
