Florida Drug Rehab Announces the Success of LGBT Addiction Treatment Component

Posted by: jhutt In: Drug Addiction

A Florida drug rehab, which has received national recognition for its treatment of drug addiction, alcoholism and dual diagnosis made a committment a year ago to provide state of the art addiction treatment services for the gay and lesbian community. We are proud to announce that after its first year of providing specialized treatment to the LGBT we have exceeded our expectations.

Freedom Rings has made such a difference in the lives of our gay and lesbian patients its hard to believe. One of the greatest attributes of our drug rehab is that if a “gay man or woman” enters treatment they are not forced to participate in the Freedom Rings component. If they would rather just participate in the Lakeview program, we have no problem with that. If they want to take advantage of the addiction treatment services offered in our LGBT treatment component that is fine also. It truly creates a wonderful recovery atmosphere as we provde the patient with all the choices says one of the founders, Jonathan Huttner.

One of the greatest benefits our drug rehab has to offer is found in the Family recovery Program. To see the relationships within a family system on the first day of the family program and then again after completion on the fourth day, the difference is incredible. To see a parent who was homophobic to love , accept and embrace their son again is hard to describe, It is an incredible transformation.
