While everyone is focused on Lindsay Lohan’s fall from grace, I think the real focus should be on the drug addiction treatment she has received from the drug rehabs she has attended. No doubt, Lindsay Lohan is fully responsible for her behavior, but there are questions regarding the philosophy of the drug addiction treatment programs she attended.

Most of the residential drug rehab programs in the country, unlike the one’s Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears checked into, do not alllow their patients to go shopping or for that matter leave the drug rehab facility while they are in drug addiction treatment, with the exception of 12 step metings. It seems that Linday Lohan’s drug rehab catered more to her lifestyle than treatment of her addiction. While the rich and famous are used to certain “perks” in life, it is ususally that sense of entitlement or lack of gratitude that got them into trouble in the first place. This is not to insinuate a person needs to throw away all of their riches to get sober, but a drug rehab has a responsibility to give them what they need not what they want.
Drug Rehab and Denial

Did anyone ever tell her that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. It is understandable that Lindsay would want a drug rehab program that is plush and has all the nicest amenities, but there are drug rehabs with different drug addiction treatment philosophies that can provide her the same. It may not be the drug rehab environment as much as the drug rehab program philosophy of care.
For example, a person can practice their shopping skills after drug treatment ,but to learn about recovery you have to be in the class room. In this case, the classroom is a drug addiction treatment program and a 12 step meeting, not a club.
The sad thing is the people, places and things that made her a star and wealthy are the exact same things that will take it all away. Wishing Lindsay Lohan well.
